Relationships Coventry and Warwickshire is pleased to share that Make a Change will be opening to referrals for Coventry residents aged over 18yrs from 1st September. Make a Change provides free, non-judgemental support for people over 18yrs concerned they may be using harmful behaviour and who want to make positive changes. This will replace Choose2Change.
Upcoming opportunities and campaigns
Every year, Coventry City Council and partners take part in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (25th November – 10th December), an international campaign running from the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women to Human Rights Day. Key city landmarks, including the fountains and the Whittle Arch, will be lit orange — the official colour of the UNiTE campaign, symbolising a future free from violence. With Coventry having the 3rd highest rate of domestic abuse in the West Midlands, this campaign is especially important locally.
Planning begins early with hourly Teams meetings: 9th September and 7th October, 2–3pm. If these dates don’t work, one-to-one arrangements can be made. To join or find out more, contact tracy.richards@coventry.gov.uk.
